I think even the most extreme nihilist still wants to matter in some way. This was a lovely read. I had to stop a moment and think about what I'd like my legacy to be. It wasn't easy, but it came down to this: to be remembered by those I care about. And while this might not be on the same scale as painting the sisteen chapel or building a cathedral, I reckon it does count for something transcendental.
